This 4 in heavy duty stainless steel no hub coupling is designed for joining hubless cast iron soil pipe and fittings. It provides a rigid joint and a superior positive seal to accommodate potential dimensional disparities in pipes. The coupling features a heavy duty corrugated shield of sufficient width for additional surface bearing sealing clamps. When torqued to 80 in lbs, the four stainless steel clamps ensure a uniformly rigid connection that inhibits joint movement at higher internal pressures. It meets the requirements of ASTM C 1540 for heavy duty shielded couplings.
