This shower drain is designed for use with preformed shower bases and mechanically attaches over 2 in schedule 40 DWV pipe. It features a universal 4-1/4 in round snap-in strainer with a stainless steel finish. The drain body is made of durable PVC and seals to the shower base with a fiber and rubber washer. A compression gasket eliminates the need for lead caulking, providing a watertight seal. This drain is ideal for slab construction and can be used with 1-1/2 in pipe or copper DWV pipe when the gasket is replaced.
